Innovation is not simply about generating new ideas. Its value lies in transforming those ideas into meaningful, sustainable outcomes.
In an increasingly complex and rapidly changing environment, entrepreneurial leadership can help individuals and organisations recognise opportunities, encourage creativity, navigate uncertainty and translate innovative thinking into practical action.
This journal webinar brings together Prof. Sezer Bozkus Kahyaoglu and Danial Shaikh for a conversation about the leadership capabilities, learning approaches and organisational conditions that help innovation move beyond intention and create measurable impact.
Drawing on their experience across governance, finance, entrepreneurship education, management training and international facilitation, the discussion will examine how people and organisations can develop the confidence and capabilities needed to innovate, take responsible risks and create value in a changing world.
Innovative ideas frequently encounter difficulties when they move from concept to implementation. Effective execution requires more than creativity: it depends on clear communication, an understanding of stakeholder needs, strategic thinking, collaboration and an environment in which experimentation and responsible risk-taking are supported.
The conversation will explore the importance of experiential and project-based learning in developing entrepreneurial capabilities. It will also consider how design thinking, creative problem-solving and practical engagement can help leaders connect ideas with action.
Entrepreneurial leadership is relevant not only to those launching new ventures. It can also strengthen established organisations, educational institutions and professional teams by encouraging adaptability, initiative and sustainable value creation.
