03Independent
internal audit

Good governance depends on clear responsibilities and effective working relationships.

How can operational management, specialist support and oversight, and internal audit work together while maintaining the independence needed for meaningful assurance?

Join The Institute of Internal Auditors to explore its updated Three Lines Model and how organisations can apply it across different structures, risk environments and levels of maturity.

The session will also examine how Domain III of the Global Internal Audit Standards and guidance on interacting with boards support effective relationships between internal audit, senior management, boards and audit committees.

You will hear about The IIA’s Global Audit Committee Center and the development of principle-based guidance supporting audit committee effectiveness. Audience polls will offer an opportunity to share your views on where further guidance and practical support are needed.
