A company may be accountable to its shareholders, but its decisions rarely affect shareholders alone. Boards must increasingly consider how the pursuit of financial value intersects with the interests of employees, communities, markets and society.

  About this webinar

This webinar will explore the relationship between King V and the Integrated Reporting Framework, focusing on what the new governance code means for integrated thinking, corporate reporting and board accountability.

King V explicitly incorporates the Integrated Reporting Framework as a recommended practice and encourages organisations to prepare an integrated report at least annually. Both frameworks emphasise the creation, preservation or erosion of value over the short, medium and long term.

The discussion will consider how governing bodies can use the integrated report to present a connected, concise and forward-looking account of the organisation’s strategy, governance, performance and prospects. It will also examine the board’s responsibility for determining the organisation’s wider reporting suite and ensuring that external reports provide stakeholders with meaningful, reliable information.
