About the webinar

Rwanda is often presented as one of Africa’s most notable examples of governance-led development. Its progress has not happened by accident. It reflects years of institutional reform and a deliberate effort to make integrity part of the country’s approach to development.

This webinar will look at the laws, policies and institutions behind that journey. It will consider how Rwanda’s approach to corruption, regulation and corporate governance has helped build confidence among investors and businesses.

The discussion will also look beyond the headline achievements. How do these systems work in practice? What makes them credible? Where is further progress still needed?

Rwanda’s place within East Africa and the wider international investment landscape will also form part of the conversation, including growing interest from Gulf countries and other global markets.

At the heart of the discussion is a simple question: can integrity become more than a compliance requirement and instead serve as a practical driver of trust, investment and long-term growth?

 The conversation will cover

  • The role of governance in Rwanda’s development
  • How strong institutions can build investor confidence
  • Rwanda’s legal and regulatory environment
  • Integrity and the country’s approach to corruption
  • Corporate governance within Rwanda’s business landscape
  • Attracting investment, skills and strategic partnerships
  • Rwanda’s role within East Africa
  • The practical experience of businesses and investors entering the market
  • Areas in which Rwanda’s governance framework could develop further
  • Lessons that other countries may draw from Rwanda’s experience

This webinar will be valuable for:

  • Board members and directors
  • Governance, legal and compliance professionals
  • Investors and investment advisers
